I had meaning for some time to 'finish' our house, where we had lived for 5 years. Items such as rugs, mirrors, tables were needed. However, I didn't have the time to trawl round shops to try and find things I liked and would suit our rooms. (I had tried with a rug only for 3 different ones to be returned!).

I found LIFE Style on the web and went for a 'no strings' consultation. I immediately felt I could work with Nicola and Anne Marie and felt they understood what I was trying to achieve with a small budget.

I have been absolutely delighted with their recommendations which have included a gorgeous rug, side tables to a fabulous chandelier which they gave me the confidence to go with. They have transformed our house and it now feels 'finished'. The process was enjoyable and the financial side straightforward and transparent. They also recommended a builder plus a fireplace/fire supplier who I dealt with purely via email and internet!

For several years I lived in clutter, constantly putting off the inevitable work that was needed to undertake some remedial work on my flat, and then modernise it - largely because I didn't have the time or inclination to wander around kitchen shops - let alone project manage a complete overhaul of most of the flat. On top of that, I didn't know any local builders/contractors that I could trust. With a full-time job, the whole thing seemed too difficult and became easier to leave for another day. However, having decided to bite the bullet and do something about it after 3 years in the flat, I then realised I didn't really have the imagination to do it properly - I would have just gone for standard designs. Basically, I needed help on design and project management.... And that is when I came across Anne Marie and Nicola.

I eventually decided to go with them because I trusted that my project was genuinely important to them, they were extremely organised, their designs opened my eyes to what might be possible, and perhaps most importantly, I genuinely liked them and thought I could work with them. I am delighted that I trusted my initial instincts as well - I can't say the project was stress-free, but it was made so much easier by LIFE Style - their communication was fantastic, their problem solving was innovative, and their attention to detail all made the experience as pleasurable as possible. They always had stacks of ideas for everything, and regularly put up with my indecision, but we got there - and I am delighted with the results - there is absolutely no way I could have achieved the result on my own - and I don't believe I would have got anywhere near the same level of service or final result with a big project management firm where my flat would have been too small for them to get truly excited by, and where I would probably have ended up with a text-book solution - this I could have done myself. I would whole-heartedly recommend LIFE Style - they have saved me time, money and stress, have been a pleasure to work with, and created a home that is now a pleasure to walk back in to.
